My stay in Germany

Perhaps unfortunately it has become my ‘lifestyle’ go from one country to another, get to know new places, new people and learn new things. Some condemn it, but why, the world is open to us and offers us countless possibilities that we can literally choose our ‘place to be’. My because of my influences of my family should be Holland and will forever even be for what I am very grateful, because wherever I live my lifestyle and work is influenced by this little inspiring country. No one can see into the future and I think that such a small guide to happiness and satisfaction is to live for the moment. But back to my stay in Germany. I can’t say I have whether finished successfully or unsuccessfully, in any case I have learned a lot and found that I can speak German decently haha. Which has opened me a new gates … For that I owe especially to my sister Monica and her fiance Stan, the founder and owner of Pomadeshop, the first specialist shop for traditional products of years 1920-1950, where I had the opportunity to work. The whole ‘Vintage Lifestyle’ is amazing, I’m grateful that I’ve got the opportunity to see how such a trade works. If you’ll ever pass through Munich, make sure to stop there and take a look. But about Pomadeshop even later. Now I bring you a few colorful autumn moments that I shot during admiring Munich.

Beautiful autumn colors…

Watching local artists while working and get inspired.

Admiring glamorous Maximilianstrasse & tasting luxurious cuban cigars.

Feeling impressed.

Munich is full of history. Leopoldstrasse ends with the Victory gate (Siegestor), one of many gates to Munich.

This is seriously the most AWESOME thing I have ever seen in my life! Surfing in the centrum of Munich!

And than I hanged out with some hippie surfer boys & girls. Chillout, Beers & Good Vibes : )

Do you have a courage to try it as well? Hahah. Yes, please.

The Eisbach. It flows through the park known as the Englischer Garten and is a side arm of the Isar river. Just past a bridge near the Haus der Kunst (Art museum) and you will imediatelly spot a lots of people (mostly on bikes) with surf boards. Than you know you are close to this awesomeness. The river forms a standing wave about 1 metre high, which is a popular river surfing spot. Wohoo. I loooove this place! Thanks to Stan to showing me this.

julia und monika in Munchen

Enjoying coffee and smoothies with sister Monika  on Viktualienmarkt. Very homey market in the hearth of Munich. They have a good coffee there, fresh fruits and vegetables, bonquets of flowers and of course bavarian beer garden with lots of beers, sausages and pretzels.
